"Jason from Canine Cohen literally saved our dog adoption. We adopted a rescue dog in November, and we were hopeful he would be a good fit for our family with three kids. He started to show some aggression after the second day home that increased over the following week. I wrote to our adoption agency saying: "We are on high alert. We are afraid for our safety." Jason came to our house immediately and handled our situation completely. By the end of our session (which lasted three hours and which he offered to do pro bono), he had showed us how to communicate effectively with our new dog to make the animal understand not only his place in the hierarchy of our family, but also that he was safe with us and didn't need to be on high alert.
Since then, we have a docile, agreeable, and loveable new pet. We are all getting to experience the joy of dog ownership. Had we not hired Jason, we would have a very sad dog adoption story on our hands right now. Hands down, the investment in training was worth every penny and more. I've never owned a more behaved dog."

Jason is the best thing that could have happened to me, my wife and our little boy Aulë. While we'd both been previous dog owners, when we adopted Aulë we were unprepared for his particular anxiety and fear to noises, humans, and general shyness.
When Jason first came to our aid Aulë was jumping up on the couch to hide behind me and get away from him; now Aulë loves Jason and we're able to have friends over without incident. While anxiety is still something we're working on with Aulë, Jason gave us the tools we needed to get Aulë to a place where he can be curious without allowing his anxiety to overwhelm him.
Jason's extremely patient, kind, and genuinely cares about Aulë's progress. My wife and I hired Jason to help us train our dog and we've been lucky enough to be able to now call him a friend and Aulë's favorite play buddy.

Jason is a wonderful trainer. He is kind, knowledgable, and just all around great guy. We and our Tibetan Terrier puppy were very happy to have him work with us for 3 sessions (and we might sign up for more). He gave us essential feedback in training our pup (i am a first time dog owner) and has many resources and information to provide. I think having a trainer is an essential part of raising a dog, even for a few sessions, and I can not recommend Jason /Canine Cohen highly enough.

I have worked with different trainers over the years. Jason, is hands down the very best. He is extremely knowledgable, very patient (both with my dog Buffy and myself) and a pleasure to work with. Buffy, needed to work on her overall manners. First, Jason's pure love for dogs shines. Buffy, wanted to lick him, in between each exercise and praise. He uses different techniques that both challenged Buffy and made the lessons fun. When you work with Jason, both your dog and you benefit.

Milton
After spending just one training session with Jason, I've seen amazing improvements in my dog Milton's behavior. By suggesting the clicker training method, Milton has learned so many things such as place, look cue and recall commands much quicker than I ever expected! Also Jason's commitment to be available to answer questions well after the training session has made him an invaluable resource for Milton's continued training. I would recommend his Bark. Train. Zoe
Working with Jason was amazing. We learned more from one session than we could have learned from sifting through endless books and websites, because he knew exactly what we needed. Our dog Zoe is a rescue dog from the south, so still getting used to city life. She's scared of everything, even people. Jason was very patient with her to first build trust before working on her basic skills. He was then very patient with teaching us how to communicate with her to build confidence. After the session he sent us a HUGE summary of everything to keep in mind. Incredible. Zoe is doing so much better and getting more confident every day.
